Wildfire 2025 Resources

Mortgage Relief for Fire Survivors

Through a program being offered by the State of California, eligible homeowners can now receive up to 12 months of mortgage payments, with grants of up to $100,000 paid directly to their mortgage servicer. The assistance does not need to be repaid.

How to Apply

Homeowners impacted by qualifying disasters can apply through the CalAssist Mortgage Fund program at the state’s official website. Applications are submitted online, and payments go directly to your mortgage company.

If you’ve been affected and are struggling to keep up with payments, this program may provide immediate relief while you focus on rebuilding.

Support to Build All-Electric Homes

For those rebuilding and exploring options for their homes, there are additional resources available. Programs like the RISE Homes initiative help Californians rebuild all-electric homes that are more energy-efficient, safer, and healthier for families. The average amount this program provides is $7,000 - $10,000. But you can qualify for more than that.

If you are rebuilding any of the following structures, you will qualify for this grant funding:

  • Single-family homes (single-family, duplexes, townhomes)

  • Manufactured homes (must comply with ENERGY STAR® Version 2.0 or higher)

  • Modular homes

  • Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)

  • Multifamily buildings (four units or greater)
